Formed in 1924 as Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik by Adolph and Rudolph Dassler, relationships between the two brothers deteriorated until the two agreed to split in 1948, forming two separate entities. Adi founded Adidas and Rudolph established Puma on the other side of the town. In the following sixty years, trainers with the Puma “Form Stripe” logo have been on the feet of most of the cutting-edge youth movements and cultural revolutions of each generation during that same time.
